やっと子供服ファッションのプリント終了。結構良いです。ライトが自然になってきてるし、きついフラッシュも使えてる。反省点は、子供たちを自由に遊ばせなかったこと。ちょっと指示を出しすぎた。もうちょっと自由に動き回らせてもよかったかも。バランスが大事なんだけど、今回はちょっとカタログみたいに撮りすぎた。それがだめっていうわけじゃなくて、ただ今の自分としてはもっとはっちゃけた写真を撮りたいということです。で、このつぎはというと、やっぱり来年の春夏ファッションをやる。続けてみないとね。来年はもうすぐそこ。でも今年を存分に楽しみます。

What's next?

So, I just finished printing kids fashion photos. They look good. I am happy with result. It's nice to be able see what I accomplished. Lighting skill has improved a lot. It looks more natural and I could also make sharp&harsh light. The styling was fine considering it was my first attempt. What I could have done better, I think, is to let kids play and improvise more. I took too much control. As a result, photos overall look a bit like catalog fashion, which is ok but is not what I want to do. So, what's next?? I am going to shoot more kids fashion for summer/spring 2008. Yes, 2008 is coming up soon. Before 2008, I want to enjoy 2007!

NY fashion week finished!

Marc jacobs was great! So was Doo-Ri, Thom Browne. The video on the screen on the stage at MJ show was shot the late night before the show. It was so surreal to see those same 57 models walk down runway in black underwear. It reminded me of Eyes Wide Shut. They walked so many times to Borelo in an empty Armory. By the way, I just printed contact sheets of the kids fashion photo I did right before fashion week started. They look great!

NYファッションウィーク終了

良かったなーマークジェイコブス！あとはDoo-Ri, Thom Browneも。マークジェイコブスのステージ上のモニターに流れてた下着姿のモデルはショーの前日深夜に撮影があって、当日と同じ５７人のモデルが延々と歩いておりました。ボレロに合わせて深々と歩いてくる下着姿のモデルたちは現実離れした感じで、アイズワイドシャット（だっけ？）みたいでした。話は変わって、ファッションショー前に撮った子供服ファッションのフイルムをやっと確認。うむ、なかなかよいと思う。

New York Fashion week

It's fashion week again! I am shooting, I don't know, 40 shows, maybe more. I will have to yell at people, and I will be mean. Anyways, there's a lot of fun! Dresses, models, free drinks, etc.

ついに撮影

うまくいった！フィルムの上がりが待ち遠しい。撮影のあとでモデルをしてくれた女の子の家の裏庭で夕食。風が透き通っていて、ひんやりと、手作りのトマトは甘く、気分が落ち着いた。いまこうやって書きつつ思うのは、やっぱ子供服っておもしろい！とにかく、お母さんのメアリーには感謝し尽くせません。女の子のサイズに始まって、持ってる靴の一覧、撮影地の試し撮りなど本当に助かった。momoはやっぱいいセンスしてる。いろいろ手を加えていいスタイリングになったし、細かいことを手伝ってくれて助かった。そしてモデルになってくれたエミリーとアンドレア！よくがんばったね！ありがとう。

Kids fashion shoot!

Oh, it went very well!!!! i can't wait to see films (yes, I shot it with film.) After everything is done, I had dinner with models parents, whom I have known for three years in their backyard. The air was clean and cool. Home-grown tomato tasted sweet. Now I know I really like shooting kids fashion!! I appreciate your support, Mary, for detailed sizes of girls and scouting shots. Momo added punch to styling. Girls, Emily and Andrea, you guys are angel, Thanks!
